4th of July Weekend Updates
The weather patterns continue to be hot and we expect large crowds at the beach all weekend. Please follow the rules that are posted. in addition, please adhere to the following:
* It is fine to gently move the "spiders" on the dock, but please return them to their spot to keep the birds and their unsightly mess away!
* Given the holiday weekend, we are experiencing a shortage of life guards. You may see signs stating NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY: SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK. As always use caution and keep an eye on each other to prevent accidents.
* On Saturday, our primary focus will be the parking area and gate so that we can maximize the space for as many residents to enjoy the beach as possible.
* Any non-sticker car or non-resident car needs to have made payment in advance for admission. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. Please go online to purchase.
* Cars are not to be overloaded, as there cannot be more people in the car than there are legal seats. The gate guards will turn you away if you try the clown car approach.
* Please pick up after yourselves, there are garbage and recycling containers available.
We look forward to a wonderful July 4th weekend and we hope you have a great time at the beach.
Enjoy the fireworks Saturday night, it's always a fantastic show!
PS: Don't miss the traditional Ringing of the Bells at the Academy parking lot Saturday July 4th at 2:00 pm.
