It's Bear Season!

As the weather is warming up, our resident bears are becoming more active. Please make sure your garbage is secure and wait as long as possible before taking your garbage to the curb on Mondays without missing pickup. Bear proof garbage cans are available through USA Waste at a monthly cost, their number is 860.274.1444. If a bear or other critter manages to scatter your garbage or recycling cans, please clean it up as quickly as possible to avoid more bears or other wild animals from having a feast. Also, if you are using the Compost Can here at Town Hall, please make sure the lid is latched and doesn't re-open after utilizing the can. Compost is a bear's favorite buffet!
